Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care routines including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Assist with meal times, encouraging hydration and providing feeding assistance as required.
  • Administer prescribed medication in accordance with training and policy, accurately documenting all actions.
  • Engage residents in social activities, conversations, and therapeutic exercises to promote well-being and mental stimulation.
  • Monitor and record residents' health indicators, reporting any significant changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy living environment for residents.
  • Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
