Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Live-In Caregiver to provide compassionate, personalized care and support to an individual within their private residence in Kirkland, Montreal. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying common areas, and ensuring a clean living space.
- Offer companionship, engaging in conversation, activities, and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
- Accompany the client to appointments, social outings, and errands.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's health, behavior, or well-being to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment within the home.
- Manage and organize personal belongings and care supplies.
- Adhere strictly to privacy and confidentiality protocols.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of verifiable experience in caregiving or a related field.
- Proficiency in English; French language skills are a significant asset.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada or meet criteria for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a Caregiver, Personal Support Worker (PSW), or Health Care Aide (HCA) program.
- Experience working with individuals with specific conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or mobility challenges.
