Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and dismantle various types of scaffolding (e.g., tube and coupler, system, frame) accurately and safely according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding components for defects before and after use, ensuring all parts are in good working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices for scaffolding erection and usage.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with crew members and supervisors.
- Load and unload scaffolding materials, ensuring proper storage and organization on job sites.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to assemble and secure scaffolding components.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or structural concerns immediately to the site supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Scaffolding Erector in a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of scaffolding types, components, and erection methods.
- Knowledge of OSHA scaffolding regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Excellent balance, coordination, and depth perception.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with various types of aerial work platforms (e.g., scissor lifts, boom lifts).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
