Job Description
We are seeking a highly responsible, discreet, and experienced Live-in Domestic/Household Driver to join a senior executive’s private household in Frankfield, Clarendon. This pivotal role requires an individual with exceptional driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to maintaining household efficiency. As a live-in team member, you will become an indispensable part of the household’s daily operations, ensuring seamless transportation and providing essential support beyond just driving. Your primary responsibilities will include safely transporting the executive and their family to various destinations, maintaining the assigned vehicle(s) to impeccable standards, and assisting with a range of household errands and duties. We are looking for someone who can anticipate needs, manage schedules efficiently, and uphold the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism at all times. This position is ideal for a dedicated individual who thrives in a structured yet respectful domestic environment, values stability, and is committed to providing outstanding service. You will be expected to possess an intimate knowledge of local and national road networks, adapt to varying schedules, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. A clean driving record and a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance are non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport the executive and their family to various destinations, including appointments, events, and personal errands.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in pristine condition, ensuring cleanliness, regular servicing, and timely inspections.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires, lights) and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with general household errands, including grocery shopping, post office visits, and other tasks as requested.
- Manage and maintain vehicle documentation, ensuring insurance, registration, and licenses are current.
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure efficient travel, avoiding traffic congestion where possible.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding all household matters and personal information.
- Provide basic security support and awareness for the executive and family during transit.
- Assist with luggage and other items as needed for travel.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to accommodate the executive's schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (at least 5 years old)
- Impeccable driving record with no major violations
- Extensive knowledge of Frankfield, Clarendon, and surrounding parishes/regions in Jamaica
- Proven experience as a professional driver (personal or corporate)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Proactive and responsible approach to tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience driving luxury or executive vehicles
