Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily feeding and watering of livestock according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
  • Monitor animals closely for any signs of illness, injury, or distress and report findings promptly to the supervisor.
  • Assist with routine veterinary procedures, vaccinations, and medication administration under supervision.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of animal enclosures, pens, and surrounding areas.
  • Support in the movement and handling of livestock safely and humanely.
  • Maintain accurate records of feeding, animal health, breeding, and production data.
  • Assist with general farm maintenance and operational tasks as required.
  • Adhere strictly to biosecurity protocols and safety guidelines to ensure animal and human well-being.
  • Participate in inventory management of feed, supplies, and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience or strong interest in animal care and livestock management.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of animal health and welfare principles.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Animal Health, Agriculture, or a related field.
