Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Administrator to join a progressive educational institution located in the heart of Hurlingham, Nairobi. This critical role demands a visionary leader with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing the day-to-day operations of the school while supporting its long-term strategic goals. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and nurturing environment for students, staff, and parents alike. You will oversee various administrative functions, including facility management, budget oversight, staff coordination, and adherence to educational regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee school budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation in collaboration with the finance department.
  • Coordinate and support the school's faculty and support staff, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and professional development initiatives.
  • Manage school facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment, including overseeing maintenance and security.
  • Handle student admissions, registration, and record-keeping processes accurately and confidentially.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for parents, guardians, and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures to optimize workflow and enhance overall school operations.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure effective communication channels within the school community, disseminating important information timely.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other administrative documents for school leadership and board meetings.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in school administration or a similar leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of Kenyan educational policies, regulations, and curriculum frameworks.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in administrative software, student information systems (SIS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial resources responsibly.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related field.
