Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards across designated retail outlets in Ngara, Nairobi, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and planograms.
- Monitor stock levels, identify replenishment needs, and coordinate with store staff and distribution teams to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Implement promotional campaigns, set up point-of-sale (POS) materials, and ensure all marketing collateral is correctly displayed and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess competitor activities, identify market trends, and provide actionable feedback to management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and retail staff to secure prime shelf space and promotional opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on merchandising activities, sales performance, and stock movement, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Ensure product quality and presentation are consistently high, reporting any issues or damage promptly.
- Provide training and guidance to store staff on product knowledge and merchandising best practices where necessary.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of merchandising strategies by sharing insights and innovative ideas.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar retail/sales role (minimum 2 years).
- Exceptional visual merchandising skills with a strong aesthetic sense.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite, especially Excel).
- A valid Kenyan driving license and ability to commute across Ngara and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with retail analytics tools and inventory management systems.
