Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate receiving, careful unpacking, and thorough inspection of all incoming shipments and materials.
- Organize and store inventory methodically in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling, easy accessibility, and optimal space utilization.
- Prepare outgoing shipments meticulously, including precise picking, secure packing, and efficient loading of goods onto vehicles.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, and actively assist with regular stock counts and reconciliation processes.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and proficiently, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified; comprehensive training will be provided if necessary).
- Provide essential support to drivers with both loading and unloading activities, ensuring cargo safety and efficiency.
- Monitor and promptly report any discrepancies, damage, or issues observed with inventory, equipment, or shipments.
- Ensure the entire warehouse area is consistently kept clean, organized, and adheres to all safety regulations at all times.
- Perform general administrative duties related to logistics documentation, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Collaborate effectively and proactively with all team members to consistently meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Proven ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as a valuable part of a cohesive team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, up to 25 kg.
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, which may include some evenings or weekends, as operational needs dictate.
- Basic understanding of fundamental warehouse operations and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 1 year) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Valid driver's license (Category B or equivalent).
- Forklift operation certification.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software (WMS).
- Residency in or near Namutequeliua, Nampula, is highly advantageous.
