Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join our growing team in Kisii County, Kenya. This full-time, on-site role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our supply chain, from warehousing to final delivery across the region. As a Logistics Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our logistics operations, contributing directly to timely deliveries, meticulous inventory accuracy, and overall operational excellence that underpins our promise to customers.
You will be responsible for a comprehensive variety of tasks that underpin our entire distribution network. This includes assisting with the meticulous coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all products are handled with care and efficiency. You will be instrumental in preparing essential documentation such as waybills, packing lists, and dispatch notes, ensuring compliance and accuracy at every step. Furthermore, a key part of your daily activities will involve meticulously tracking inventory levels, performing regular stock checks, and reconciling records to prevent discrepancies and maintain optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely processing.
- Prepare and process all necessary logistics documentation, including waybills, packing lists, and invoices.
- Track and monitor inventory levels, performing regular stock checks and reconciling records to maintain accuracy.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities and transactions.
- Support the Logistics Manager with daily administrative tasks, data entry, and generation of operational reports.
- Proactively identify and help resolve shipping and inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company safety standards and operational policies.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of goods when required, adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the logistics department.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or a related field (1+ years).
- Strong organizational and exceptional time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and unwavering accuracy in all tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 25kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and logistics practices in Kenya.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
