Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Manage and optimize freight forwarding, customs clearance, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve any issues or delays proactively.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, inventory levels, and shipment documentation.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage stock, and generate reports.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and other logistics providers to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising service quality.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and quality control within the logistics function.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Prepare regular performance reports on logistics metrics, including delivery times, accuracy, and expenditure.
- Oversee the proper storage and handling of goods within the warehouse facility to prevent damage or loss.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Proven proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of national and international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience working with diverse types of freight and cargo.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles in a logistics context.
