Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Denbigh, May Pen. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping issues, delays, and damage claims efficiently.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage inventory.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, generating reports on performance, costs, and efficiency to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in the negotiation of freight rates and service agreements with carriers to secure favorable terms.
  • Implement and maintain robust safety procedures within the warehouse and during delivery operations.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with lean logistics principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the Jamaican logistics landscape and local supplier networks.
  • Fluency in an additional language relevant to international trade (e.g., Spanish).
