Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage optimization, and order fulfillment processes.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatch of delivery vehicles, ensuring optimal route planning and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory levels, shipment details, and delivery statuses.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any issues related to logistics, transportation, or deliveries.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve efficiency and service levels.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on logistics performance, inventory accuracy, and delivery metrics.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with transportation providers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Utilize logistics software and systems for tracking, planning, and managing supply chain activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within a warehouse and delivery focused environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred).
