Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Discovery Bay, St. Ann. This professional role is critical to the efficient operation of our warehouse and delivery networks, ensuring that goods move seamlessly from our facilities to their final destinations. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin in our supply chain, responsible for orchestrating the entire lifecycle of our products, from inbound receiving to outbound dispatch and delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective product distribution.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates and resolving any transit issues or delays proactively.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts to minimize discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow and effective communication.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs forms.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with all relevant transportation and warehouse regulations.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing strategies.
  • Manage and resolve customer delivery inquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Strong understanding of local and international shipping regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the Jamaican logistics landscape and local supplier networks.
  • Valid driver's license.
