Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator with a professional background in warehouse and delivery operations to join our dynamic team in Trench Town, Kingston. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dispatch and delivery schedules for a fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal route planning and on-time delivery.
  • Manage warehouse inventory, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, utilizing inventory management systems.
  • Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, providing real-time updates and addressing any delays or issues promptly.
  • Liaise effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operational flow and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, inventory levels, and delivery performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to deliveries, providing professional and timely resolutions.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within a warehouse and delivery context.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
  • Experience with route optimization software.
  • Familiarity with local Kingston and Jamaican transportation routes and regulations.
  • Forklift operation certification (advantageous).
