Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a professional team focused on optimizing warehouse and delivery operations within the vibrant commercial landscape of New Castle, Kingston. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate warehouse records.
- Plan and track the movement of products according to customer requirements and delivery schedules, optimizing routes and methods.
- Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs forms, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth logistics processes.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and delivery, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical problems, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, promptly and efficiently.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role in a warehouse/delivery focused environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrable experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics processes.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and customs procedures.
