Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a professional team focused on optimizing warehouse and delivery operations within the vibrant commercial landscape of New Castle, Kingston. This crucial role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of goods, from inbound receiving and meticulous inventory management to efficient outbound dispatch and last-mile delivery coordination. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate warehouse records.
  • Plan and track the movement of products according to customer requirements and delivery schedules, optimizing routes and methods.
  • Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs forms, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth logistics processes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and delivery, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve logistical problems, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, promptly and efficiently.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role in a warehouse/delivery focused environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics processes.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local transportation regulations and customs procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
  • Experience with international shipping and customs clearance procedures.
  • Familiarity with specific industry logistics (e.g., retail, FMCG, manufacturing).
  • Proven track record of improving logistical efficiency and reducing costs.
