Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our operational team in Washington Gardens, Kingston. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, materials, and internal resources essential for our daily operations and special projects. You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our warehouse activities, including inventory control, storage optimization, and dispatch processes. Beyond the warehouse, your expertise will extend to coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to various internal departments and external partners. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation, customs clearance (if applicable), and timely delivery or dispatch.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock rotation, storage optimization, and maintaining accurate records of goods.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to schedule and monitor deliveries, resolving any logistical issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems, conducting regular audits and reconciliations to minimize discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse and during delivery operations.
- Prepare comprehensive logistics reports, analyzing performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Procure and manage logistics-related supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehousing procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid General Driver's License (Class B or equivalent) and a clean driving record.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and customs procedures in Jamaica.
- Forklift operator certification.
