Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse management and delivery operations to join our growing team in Marlie Mount, Old Harbour. As a crucial professional within our supply chain, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers. Your day-to-day will involve strategic planning of routes, managing a team of delivery personnel, and implementing best practices for warehouse safety and operational efficiency. You will act as the primary liaison between various departments, including sales, procurement, and customer service, to ensure that all logistical needs are met and client expectations are exceeded. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor delivery schedules, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness across local and regional deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and compliance standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse and delivery staff, fostering a productive and cohesive team.
  • Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and customer service departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics performance metrics, presenting insights and recommendations to management.
  • Handle customs clearance documentation and compliance for any international shipments, if applicable.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, and delivery operations.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control techniques.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local transportation regulations and customs procedures in Jamaica.
