Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and schedule local and regional deliveries, optimizing routes and maximizing vehicle utilization to meet delivery deadlines.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software, conducting regular stock audits.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations (where applicable).
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and delivery operations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout all warehousing and delivery processes.
- Assist in the negotiation of freight rates and services with third-party logistics providers to optimize costs and service quality.
- Train and supervise warehouse and delivery personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures for all incoming and outgoing goods.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
