Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, including inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and final mile delivery.
- Optimize routes and schedules for delivery vehicles to ensure timely and cost-effective product distribution across specified service areas.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient space utilization, proper storage procedures, and accurate stock keeping.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow and resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly.
- Process and track orders from inception to completion, ensuring strict compliance with delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Monitor and analyze key logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and stringent safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, invoices, customs declarations, and other relevant logistics records.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies with system records.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing delivery inquiries, handling returns, and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Logistics Coordinator, specifically with a strong focus on warehouse management and delivery operations.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics best practices, and inventory control methodologies.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS) and advanced competency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a demanding environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to operational challenges.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
- Thorough knowledge of local transportation regulations and geographical understanding of St. Andrew and surrounding parishes in Jamaica.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CLA).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for logistics modules.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience operating light commercial vehicles.
