Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Negotiate with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers to secure optimal rates and service levels.
- Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates and resolving transit issues promptly.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Manage and reconcile inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation, including shipping manifests, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to forecast demand and optimize product flow.
- Implement and maintain logistics software systems and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (3+ years).
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and warehousing principles.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
