Job Description
CMT is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic production team based in Quatre Bornes. This pivotal role involves the expert operation, diligent monitoring, and routine maintenance of various industrial machines critical to our textile manufacturing processes. As a Machine Operator at CMT, you will work collaboratively with supervisors, quality control specialists, and other production staff. You will be responsible for identifying and rectifying minor machine malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and escalating complex issues to technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards and identify any defects.
- Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and ensure product consistency and efficiency.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards promptly to supervisors or technicians.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including quantities produced, machine downtime, and quality control data.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and participate in safety training programs.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and improve operational processes.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment (preferably textiles).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex machinery operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, production orders, and safety instructions.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for common machine issues.
