Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Manual Machinist to join our bustling repair shop team in Largo, Florida. This full-time position is ideal for a precision-focused individual who thrives on diagnosing issues, executing intricate repairs, and fabricating custom components to exact specifications. As a Manual Machinist, you will be a critical player in restoring industrial machinery and parts, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespans for our clients across various sectors.
Your daily work will involve operating a comprehensive range of manual machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses. You will be responsible for setting up and operating these machines with exceptional accuracy, interpreting complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings, and making precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. The role demands not just technical proficiency but also a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a steadfast commitment to quality and safety standards.
We are looking for someone who takes immense pride in their craft, someone who can skillfully troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify worn or damaged parts, and then machine new components or modify existing ones with tight tolerances. You will work on a diverse array of materials, from various steels and alloys to specialized plastics, often on unique, one-off projects rather than repetitive production runs. This offers continuous learning and the profound satisfaction of bringing complex machinery back to optimal life. Maintaining your work area, performing routine machine maintenance, and accurately documenting all repair and fabrication processes will also be key aspects of your contribution.
Collaboration with fellow technicians, engineers, and project managers will be essential to ensure that repair solutions are not only effective and efficient but also durable and meet stringent industry standards. You will contribute to meeting repair deadlines, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients. If you are passionate about precision engineering, possess a strong work ethic, and have the expertise to contribute significantly to a leading industrial repair service, we encourage you to apply. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic setting where every repair presents a new challenge and a chance to showcase your unparalleled skills and commitment to excellence.
