Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival, assist with inquiries, and guide them through the spa facilities.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with fresh linens, towels, amenities, and ensure they are clean and perfectly set up before each session.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across all spa areas, including reception, changing rooms, relaxation lounges, and treatment rooms.
  • Assist spa therapists with various tasks, such as fetching supplies, preparing specific oils or products, and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
  • Monitor and replenish spa amenities, beverages, and promotional materials to ensure a consistently luxurious experience.
  • Handle laundry duties, including efficient washing, drying, and folding of all spa linens and towels.
  • Ensure all spa equipment is regularly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored according to health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing guest bookings and inquiries, maintaining an organized system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs and concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously.
  • Actively contribute to a peaceful and relaxing spa environment, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a hospitality, spa, or customer service-oriented role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in English. Proficiency in Swahili is a significant advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding guest service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights throughout shifts.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the lodge's operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or diploma in hospitality management, spa operations, or a related wellness field.
  • A basic understanding of various spa treatments, massage techniques, and holistic wellness practices.
  • Previous experience working within a luxury resort, boutique hotel, or a high-end spa environment.
  • Proficiency in additional international languages (e.g., German, French, Italian) to cater to our diverse clientele.
