Job Description
Are you a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist with a passion for holistic well-being and exceptional client care? Ayurveda & Yoga Wellness Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Massage Therapist to join our esteemed team in Pailles. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing a diverse range of relaxation and therapeutic massage treatments, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and Ayurvedic-inspired massages, tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of our clients. You will create an atmosphere of tranquility and healing, guiding clients through a personalized journey of relaxation and rejuvenation. This position requires a professional who is not only proficient in various massage techniques but also possesses an innate ability to connect with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring a memorable and beneficial spa experience. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including relaxation, deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone, and Ayurvedic massages, according to client needs and preferences.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to assess needs, health history, and desired outcomes, customizing treatments accordingly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tranquil treatment room, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and prepared for each client.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, recommended follow-up treatments, and home care practices.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging repeat visits and fostering a loyal clientele.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and protocols of the centre.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development initiatives.
- Promote additional spa services, retail products, and wellness programs offered by the centre.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every client experiences a high level of comfort and satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Certified Massage Therapist (Diploma or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Massage Therapist in a spa or wellness setting
- Proficiency in various massage modalities (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to customize treatments based on client needs
- Exceptional client service orientation and empathetic approach
- High level of professionalism and ethical conduct
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English and French (Creole is an advantage)
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization or certification in Ayurvedic massage techniques
- Experience with aromatherapy, reflexology, or other complementary therapies
- A passion for holistic health and wellness practices
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- CPR and First Aid certification
