Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Operate various material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and company procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, maintaining precise stock levels.
- Receive incoming goods, inspect for damage, verify against purchase orders, and record data accurately.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization, accessibility, and cleanliness.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents promptly to supervision.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) with valid certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks consistently throughout a shift.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and following protocols.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck Forklift license.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
