Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and skillfully.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to exact specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through manual and electronic tracking systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with comprehensive physical inventory audits.
- Perform meticulous quality checks on all incoming and outgoing materials to prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is consistently clean, organized, and adheres to all safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe workplace culture.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role (minimum 1 year).
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks (certification strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding and adherence to warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and data entry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA-compliant forklift certification.
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., WMS – Warehouse Management System).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or logistics distribution environment.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, invoices, and work orders.
