Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and check incoming materials against invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and quantity.
- Safely move materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks), ensuring proper stacking and organization.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, labeling, and recording stock levels to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling materials according to order specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures to prevent accidents and ensure workplace security.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Report any damages, defects, or discrepancies in materials or equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient material flow and meet operational targets.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to read labels, count items, and complete forms.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
