Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostic procedures on various vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, braking, HVAC, suspension).
- Execute advanced repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine rebuilds, transmission services, and intricate component replacements.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes of malfunctions accurately.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics, fostering skill development within the team.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and estimated costs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and workshop policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Continuously update knowledge on new vehicle technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough quality checks and test drives to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an automotive mechanic.
