Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to schedules and specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and effectively troubleshoot complex breakdowns using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Execute timely and efficient repairs, including component replacement, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical parts.
- Inspect, test, and commission repaired equipment to ensure safe and optimal operation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance manuals.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and health regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest modifications to enhance maintenance efficiency.
Required Skills
- Completed apprenticeship or vocational training as an Industrial Mechanic, Fitter, or similar mechanical trade.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and perform effective repairs.
- Experience with various hand and power tools common in mechanical fitting.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in an industrial setting.
