Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media influencers across various platforms (print, broadcast, online) in Germany and internationally.
- Draft compelling press releases, media kits, Q&As, backgrounders, and other corporate communications materials.
- Manage media inquiries, interview requests, and press conferences, acting as a primary media contact when appropriate.
- Proactively identify newsworthy stories and secure positive media coverage for company announcements, thought leadership, and product launches.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze sentiment, and prepare regular reports on PR effectiveness and key metrics.
- Prepare and brief company spokespersons for media interviews and public appearances.
- Collaborate with internal marketing, content, and executive teams to ensure consistent messaging across all external communications.
- Support crisis communication efforts by assisting in the development and execution of rapid response plans.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German (C1 level or higher).
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and secure significant media placements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building and maintaining professional relationships.
- Proficiency in utilizing media monitoring and PR management tools.
