Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process patient samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for laboratory testing following strict protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as specimen labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and loading samples onto automated analyzers.
- Maintain accurate records of all laboratory procedures and results, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Sterilize and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Assist medical technologists with more complex procedures and experiments as directed.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including stocking supplies and ensuring proper storage of reagents and consumables.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, quality control standards, and infection prevention protocols.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste safely and according to established guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding sample status and any potential issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
