Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and dismantle merchandise booths at various locations, including community events, local markets, and designated promotional areas.
- Actively engage with potential customers, providing information about Vodacom products, services, and current promotions.
- Effectively promote and sell Vodacom branded merchandise, ensuring a high level of product knowledge.
- Manage inventory of merchandise, including tracking stock levels, receiving new shipments, and preparing items for display.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, process sales, and reconcile daily sales reports.
- Ensure the booth area is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times to attract and engage customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve minor issues, escalating complex matters to appropriate supervisors.
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with the marketing and sales teams to improve future activations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including sales, cash handling, and brand guidelines.
- Assist with event logistics and coordination as needed, contributing to the overall success of promotional activities.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills in Portuguese (essential).
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry merchandise, and set up/dismantle booths.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for engaging with people.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, sales, promotions, or customer-facing roles.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems or mobile payment applications.
- Knowledge of local customs and community dynamics in Balama and Cabo Delgado Province.
- Proficiency in additional local languages (e.g., Makhuwa, Mwani) is a significant advantage.
- Experience working with telecommunications products or services.
