Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly reliable and efficient Messenger to join our dedicated team in Rumuola, Port Harcourt. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver documents, packages, and other items safely and punctually to designated locations.
  • Collect outgoing mail, packages, and various documents from clients or internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all deliveries, collections, and associated transactions.
  • Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for maximum efficiency and timeliness.
  • Ensure the secure handling and transportation of all items, maintaining their integrity.
  • Assist with general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, or organizing supplies when required.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, clients, and external contacts.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, traffic regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct routine checks on company vehicles/motorcycles (if provided) to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any discrepancies, issues, or delays promptly to the supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a messenger, dispatch rider, or similar role (minimum 1 year).
  • Excellent knowledge of Port Harcourt city roads and routes.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • High level of reliability, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and carrying packages.
  • Valid rider's permit or driver's license (depending on transport method).
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE).
  • Familiarity with using GPS or mapping applications (e.g., Google Maps).
