Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process a variety of microfinance transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan repayments, and fund transfers.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service to all microfinance clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Educate clients on various microfinance products and services, helping them understand terms and benefits.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances, reconciling daily transactions with precision.
- Adhere strictly to all banking procedures, security protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Assist with opening new microfinance accounts and updating client information as required.
- Collaborate with the microfinance team to achieve branch targets and enhance client satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven cash handling experience with strong numerical accuracy.
- Proficiency in using banking software and basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Fluency in Swahili and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a teller or customer service role within a financial institution, preferably microfinance.
- Familiarity with local microfinance market dynamics and client needs.
- Knowledge of an additional local language (e.g., Arabic).
