Key Responsibilities
- Receive raw audio tracks and manage multi-track sessions efficiently.
- Balance levels of all instruments and vocals to create a cohesive and professional sound.
- Apply equalization, compression, reverb, delay, and other effects to enhance audio quality.
- Perform sonic clean-up, including noise reduction, de-essing, and transient shaping.
- Ensure phase coherence and proper stereo imaging for optimal sonic clarity and depth.
- Work collaboratively with artists, producers, and other engineers to achieve the desired sonic vision.
- Prepare final mixes for mastering, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and delivery standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, session organization, and file management.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software, and hardware advancements in audio engineering.
- Troubleshoot audio signal flow, equipment malfunctions, and technical issues within the studio environment.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Cubase.
- Demonstrable expertise in advanced mixing techniques, including EQ, compression, gating, and effects processing.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio signal flow.
