Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Mobile App Designer to join our dynamic team and elevate the digital experience for LUX* Resorts & Hotels. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and refining intuitive and aesthetically pleasing mobile applications that enhance our guests’ journeys and streamline internal operations. You will be responsible for the entire user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design lifecycle, from initial research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and final design hand-off. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional mobile design skills, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and a passion for creating impactful digital products within the luxury hospitality sector. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to translate complex requirements into elegant and functional mobile solutions, ensuring consistency with the LUX* brand identity and delivering an unparalleled user experience across all digital touchpoints. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for new and existing mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and delightful user journey aligned with brand standards.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on product improvements.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Present and defend design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Establish and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across all mobile products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the team.
- Ensure designs are optimized for various mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and screen sizes, adhering to platform-specific guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio of mobile application projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, mobile-first design, and human-computer interaction.
- Experience with conducting user research and usability testing.
- Familiarity with native mobile design guidelines (Material Design for Android, Human Interface Guidelines for iOS).
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience working within the hospitality, travel, or luxury brand sectors.
- Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand technical constraints.
- Experience with animation and motion design for mobile interfaces.
- Proficiency in design system development and maintenance.
