Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Full-Time Mobile Patrol Officer to join our growing team in Chilliwack, British Columbia. This critical role involves ensuring the safety and security of various client properties, proactively deterring criminal activity, and responding swiftly to incidents. As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you will be the eyes and ears of our clients across the Chilliwack area, conducting routine checks, securing premises, and providing a visible deterrent presence.
Your day will be far from routine, offering a dynamic environment where your observational skills and quick thinking are paramount. You will be responsible for patrolling assigned sites in a company vehicle, monitoring for suspicious activities, unauthorized access, and any potential security breaches. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and regular mobile patrols of assigned client properties in a company vehicle.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents.
- Identify and report potential security risks, hazards, and vulnerabilities on client premises.
- Complete comprehensive daily activity reports, incident reports, and other documentation with accuracy and detail.
- Enforce client-specific policies, rules, and regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Monitor surveillance systems and access control points when required.
- Liaise professionally with clients, employees, and emergency services personnel (police, fire, ambulance).
- Perform building lock-ups, unlocks, and secure premises at designated times.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive public image for Career.zycto.
- Operate patrol vehicle safely and in accordance with all traffic laws.
Required Skills
- Possession of a valid BC Security Guard License.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving abstract (minimum 2 years driving experience).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform duties including walking, standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in using mobile technology for reporting and communication.
- Clean criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in mobile patrol, security, or a related field (e.g., law enforcement).
- Familiarity with the geography and common routes within Chilliwack and surrounding areas.
- Advanced security training or certifications (e.g., Use of Force, Conflict Resolution).
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
