As a Motorcycle Technician, you will be crucial to ensuring our clients’ safety and satisfaction. You will perform everything from routine servicing to complex engine rebuilds, utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Execute complex repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission work, and suspension adjustments.
- Install aftermarket parts and accessories according to manufacturer specifications and customer requests.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and safety checks on new and used motorcycles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the service bay.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and hours billed accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
- Stay updated on new motorcycle technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Motorcycle Technician or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to motorcycles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Valid motorcycle endorsement (Class 6A license in Quebec, or equivalent).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy shop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification from a recognized motorcycle technician program.
- Experience with multiple motorcycle brands (e.g., Harley-Davidson, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati).
- Familiarity with powersports vehicles (ATVs, snowmobiles) is a plus.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is highly advantageous.
