Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload household and office furniture, boxes, and other items onto and off moving trucks.
- Carefully pack, wrap, and protect items to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate packing materials and techniques.
- Assist with disassembling and reassembling furniture as required.
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and furniture pads in a safe manner.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing client questions and concerns with a positive attitude.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete moves according to schedule and company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving trucks and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your team, and our clients' property.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and safely.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.

- Basic understanding of safety procedures for lifting and moving.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the moving, logistics, or general labour industry.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record (an asset, but not required for all assistant roles).
- Familiarity with the Guelph and surrounding area street layouts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
