Key Responsibilities
- Curate, edit, and synchronize music scores and tracks to visual content (e.g., film, video, animations, podcasts) ensuring seamless integration and emotional resonance.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, sound designers, and post-production teams to understand project vision and audio requirements.
- Select appropriate music from libraries or commission new compositions, adhering to creative briefs and budgetary constraints.
- Perform detailed audio editing, mixing, and mastering to achieve optimal sound quality and ensure all musical elements sit perfectly within the overall sound design.
- Manage music licensing, clearances, and metadata, ensuring all legal requirements are met and documented.
- Maintain meticulous organization of music assets, project files, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Provide creative input and solutions for challenging musical and audio post-production tasks, actively contributing to artistic decisions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in music editing and sound design to continually enhance workflow and output.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Music Editor or similar role in film, television, gaming, or digital media.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, or Adobe Audition.
- Strong understanding of music theory, composition, arrangement, and orchestration.
