Key Responsibilities
- Identify, secure, and manage music licensing opportunities across various media platforms (film, TV, advertising, gaming, digital).
- Negotiate licensing agreements, terms, and fees with external partners, ensuring optimal revenue generation and protection of intellectual property.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with music supervisors, advertising agencies, production companies, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with artists, management, and legal teams to understand rights, clearance requirements, and creative vision.
- Administer licensing documentation, track usage, and ensure accurate royalty collection and reporting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, copyright law updates, and emerging technologies impacting music licensing.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our licensing catalogue and market reach.
- Provide regular reports on licensing activities, revenue generation, and market analysis.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in music licensing, A&R, or a related role within the music industry.
- In-depth knowledge of music copyright, publishing rights, and master recording rights.
- Proven track record of negotiating and closing complex licensing deals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in music industry software and databases (e.g., rights management systems).
