Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of music production, from pre-production and tracking to mixing and mastering.
  • Collaborate closely with artists to develop their musical vision and refine their unique sound.
  • Direct recording sessions, ensuring optimal performance, vocal delivery, and technical audio quality.
  • Manage and maintain studio equipment and software, troubleshooting technical issues efficiently as they arise.
  • Mix and master tracks to professional industry standards, consistently meeting client specifications and project deadlines.
  • Provide innovative creative input and constructive guidance to artists and engineering teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of music production trends, emerging technologies, and best industry practices.
  • Ensure all projects adhere strictly to established budgetary constraints and production timelines.
  • Mentor junior producers or audio engineers, sharing expertise and fostering their professional growth.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or FL Studio.
  • Expertise in audio mixing, mastering, sound design techniques, and signal processing.
  • Strong understanding of music theory, arrangement, composition, and genre conventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills for artist collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication with artists and teams.
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating diverse production experience across various musical styles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience with various recording equipment and studio hardware (consoles, microphones, outboard gear).
  • In-depth knowledge of music business, copyright, intellectual property, and licensing agreements.
  • Prior experience producing music for film, television, video games, or advertising.
  • Ability to play one or more musical instruments proficiently to aid in arrangement and composition.
