Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Music Producer to join our dedicated team at Mayfield Studio in Portsmouth. This is a unique full-time opportunity for a creative professional with a proven track record in music production, sound engineering, and artist development. As a Music Producer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the sound and artistic direction of various projects, working closely with artists from diverse musical backgrounds. Your role will involve guiding musicians through the entire production process, from initial concept and arrangement to recording, mixing, and final master preparation. We are looking for someone who possesses not only technical proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and studio equipment but also a deep understanding of music theory, songwriting, and genre conventions across a wide spectrum of styles, including pop, rock, indie, electronic, and folk.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with artists to develop their musical vision, arrangements, and overall sound.
- Oversee and manage all stages of music production, including pre-production, tracking, overdubbing, editing, mixing, and mastering.
- Operate and maintain studio equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality recordings.
- Provide creative input and guidance on songwriting, instrumentation, vocal performance, and musical direction.
- Engineer recording sessions, demonstrating expertise in microphone placement, signal flow, and gain staging.
- Mix and master tracks to a professional standard, adhering to industry best practices and client specifications.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring efficient completion of projects.
- Scout and develop new talent, fostering long-term relationships with artists.
- Stay current with music industry trends, production techniques, and audio software advancements.

Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Music Producer or Audio Engineer.
- Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Cubase).
- Expert knowledge of audio recording, mixing, and mastering techniques.
- Strong understanding of music theory, harmony, rhythm, and song structure.
- Demonstrable portfolio of produced and mixed tracks across various genres.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire artists.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
