Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and safe care for children in a stimulating home environment.
- Organize and supervise age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, and outdoor excursions.
- Manage daily routines, including meal preparation, feeding, naps, and bedtime rituals.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
- Ensure children's hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and maintaining a clean play area.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, accommodating any dietary needs or allergies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents regarding children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Perform light household duties related to the children, such as tidying playrooms, children's laundry, and organizing toys.
- Transport children to and from school, appointments, or extracurricular activities as needed.
- Administer medication or first aid if necessary, following parental instructions and emergency protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in childcare (minimum 2 years).
- Excellent understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (French is an asset).
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a high level of responsibility.
- Ability to create a safe, organized, and stimulating environment.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma or relevant childcare certifications.
- Proficiency in French, given Montreal's bilingual environment.
