Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and safe care for children in a stimulating home environment.
  • Organize and supervise age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, and outdoor excursions.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal preparation, feeding, naps, and bedtime rituals.
  • Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Ensure children's hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and maintaining a clean play area.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, accommodating any dietary needs or allergies.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents regarding children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
  • Perform light household duties related to the children, such as tidying playrooms, children's laundry, and organizing toys.
  • Transport children to and from school, appointments, or extracurricular activities as needed.
  • Administer medication or first aid if necessary, following parental instructions and emergency protocols.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in childcare (minimum 2 years).
  • Excellent understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (French is an asset).
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a high level of responsibility.
  • Ability to create a safe, organized, and stimulating environment.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma or relevant childcare certifications.
  • Proficiency in French, given Montreal's bilingual environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with visa sponsorship processes or international employment.
