Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN) including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal network uptime and efficiency.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software, resolving complex issues swiftly to minimize service disruption.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures, protecting against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver network solutions that align with business objectives.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents and provide expert-level support when required.
- Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations for improvements to existing infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, or similar network operating systems.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP).
- Expertise in firewall configuration and management (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting methodologies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Knowledge of VoIP and video conferencing systems.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
