Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of designated areas during night shifts, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment, promptly responding to alerts and investigations.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification for authorized entry and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security threats, following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from all individuals on the premises.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to staff, visitors, and clients as needed, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform routine checks on doors, windows, and gates to ensure all are securely locked and maintained.
- Collaborate with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) as necessary during critical situations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain or possess a valid Quebec Security Guard License (assistance may be provided for obtaining if new to the field).
- Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site for night shifts.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
