Key Responsibilities
- Manage and dispatch drivers for timely pickups and deliveries during the night shift.
- Monitor driver locations, progress, and performance using GPS tracking and communication systems.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to address any operational issues or changes.
- Adjust routes and schedules as needed to accommodate traffic, weather, mechanical failures, or urgent requests.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports related to dispatch activities, driver hours, and service incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
- Handle inbound calls and provide customer service and support during non-business hours.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential delays or problems to maintain delivery schedules.
- Prepare daily operational reports for management, summarizing night shift activities and incidents.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related logistics role.
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Quebec and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
