Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including tables, chairs, linens, and decor.
  • Transport food, beverages, and equipment to and from event locations efficiently and safely.
  • Set up buffet lines and serving stations according to event specifications and aesthetic standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Ensure food and beverage stations are kept clean, stocked, and appealing throughout events, promptly addressing any needs.
  • Replenish supplies as needed, including plates, cutlery, napkins, and condiments, to maintain smooth service.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as washing produce, arranging platters, or portioning items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all work areas, including kitchens, serving spaces, and storage areas.
  • Handle dirty dishes, glassware, and serving equipment, assisting with washing and sanitizing procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, anticipating guest needs and responding promptly and courteously to requests.
  • Collaborate effectively with chefs, servers, event managers, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including unpacking deliveries and reporting any shortages or damages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the catering manager or team lead to support overall event success.

  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality (even non-catering related).
  • Knowledge of basic food safety principles or a willingness to obtain certification.
