Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our entire supply chain operations in Sillery, Quebec City. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, from procurement to delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of logistics principles, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of managing complex operational challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze performance data.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international logistics regulations and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production departments to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implement sustainable logistics practices to minimize environmental impact and promote corporate social responsibility.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Proven ability to manage complex supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
