Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, stack, and move products, raw materials, and finished goods within the factory and warehouse.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of equipment and complete daily maintenance logs.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, provincial regulations, and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory by properly storing and retrieving materials and scanning movements.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents immediately to supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (e.g., Class 1, 2, 3 as per Quebec standards).
- Minimum 12 months (1 year) of professional experience operating forklifts in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to workplace safety and operational procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels and completing logs.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic factory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple types of forklifts (e.g., reach trucks, order pickers, walkie riders).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production facility.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a valuable asset.
